Day 2 on the slopes

After waking up bright and early after enjoying a pizza night, yet again we were lucky to have clear blue skies with temperatures soaring above 12 degrees in the Aprica mountains. The beginners were progressed rapidly today and were soon on the mountain enjoying their first skiing experience within the mountains. The intermediate groups were conquering red runs, whilst the advanced group took on their first black run of the trip, with many year 11s completing their GCSE assessment. Although, the day was full of laughs yet again with many tumbles caught on camera, along with Mary in the advanced group who took out 2 of her group members. However, one of the funniest moments must have been when Miss. O’Brien took a fall on camera and then tried to crawl out of the camera spot light only to discover that Mr. Smith was recording all of her struggles. After a morning of technique training the instructors decided that the pupils deserved a fun ski in the afternoon and they took on some mini jumps and moguls enjoying their afternoon.

We finished our day with a games night and series of quizzes that all thoroughly enjoyed, however everyone was ready for bed once this finished due to the tiring day of skiing.

(Apologies for delays with the blog but the Wi-Fi is a struggle in our hotel)
